Discussion will follow, led by a panel that includes Dr. Christopher Flory, Nancy Talanian (chairperson, Northampton hub, Western Mass. Medicare-for-All), and Larry Pareles (leader, Indivisible Northampton Medicare for All team).

Jo Comerford, March 18

Senator Comerford will provide an update on her legislative priorities (both the bills she filed and those she co-sponsored) and discuss opportunities to work together to move them forward. Medicare For All Team

Upcoming meetings will be focused on self-education and amplifying our message to build grass-roots support for a Medicare-for-All financing plan for Massachusetts.

We are happy to be hosting the showing of the move “Fix-It, Healthcare at the tipping point” at the next Indivisible meeting, on Monday, March 4, at 7 p.m. (see above).

As this newsletter was going to press, the Medicare for All bill was being submitted to the U.S. House today by Representative Jayapal, with many Democratic co-sponsors and supporters. We will review that bill carefully to see how it would affect a Medicare-for-All plan here in the Commonwealth.
